Synopsis[]
The mission begins
The chapter begins in the Gantz Room with Gantz displaying Tae Kojima, Kei Kurono's former lover, as the mission target. Shion Izumi, Reika Shimohira and Kurono himself are the only ones to recognise her and express shock as a result, while the others are simply confused as to why she simply looks like a normal girl. Shion asks Kurono what he is thinking about repeatedly, though Kurono does not answer, instead loudly asking Gantz to teleport him into the mission area first. Gantz complies with his request and Kurono is transferred to his and Tae's neighbourhood, Kurono running frantically in search of her.
The rest of the players are then teleported in, with Shion explaining the situation when the others audibly wonder where Kurono went. He tells them to think of Kurono as their enemy and to not let their guard down, but Yoshikazu Suzuki states that Kurono would never try to kill them, although Shion is clearly sceptical. The chapter ends with Kurono standing in front of Tae's home as the others prepare their pursuit, with Shion leading from the front.
