Cover PageEdit

This cover is part of the actual chapter it shows a dream sequence of Kei Kurono waking up after a supposed nightmare in which Tae Kojima died. The scene we see is of a frightened Kurono waking up in his bed with a concerned, naked Tae watching over him.

The chapter begins with Kei Kurono being seen in his apartment, lying in bed with a naked and concerned Tae Kojima looking down on him. Kurono states that his experience of Tae dying was simply a nightmare and the two sit next to each other underneath their bed covers. Tae thanks Kurono for everything he did to protect her, which causes him to become more panicked until he wakes up from his dream state in the Gantz Room, directly after the mission where Tae was killed by Shion Izumi. Kurono gets up temporarily to look for her since she was seen being transferred away after dying in his arms, but he cannot find her anywhere in the room. He is about to commit suicide after everyone else leaves by shooting himself in the head with an X-Pistol, but first asks Gantz to show him the 100 points menu. Kurono sees three options. If option one is taken, the player is freed from the game with all their memories erased. Option two allows them to obtain an extremely powerful weapon, whereas option three allows them to revive a human being from "the memory". Gantz shows Kurono the list of people found in his memory, and after seeing Tae, Masaru Kato and Kei Kishimoto, Kurono vows to gain one hundred points, no matter what.
