Clever Scheme (奇策, Kisaku) is the 49th chapter of the Gantz manga, written and illustrated by Hiroya Oku.

We once again is a nearly completely nude Kei Kishimoto sitting down on her legs wearing only the top half of the Gantz suit, boots, gloves and an X-gun holster.
Synopsis[]
The chapter beings with Kei Kurono standing in front of the Tanaka Alien boss and surrounded by angry Tanaka Aliens on all sides, while sweating profusely and breathing heavily, his intense fear evident. He eventually calms himself down, however, by repeatedly stating that he is not going to die, more to himself than the aliens around him. He then attempts to take the Tanka Alien boss hostage, pulling up his gun and holding it to the bottom of his jaw. Kei begins to panic when they charge up their shriek attacks instead, causing him to unintentionally pull the trigger, although the Boss Alien swivels his head away at the last moment. It then begins shrieking incredibly loudly and violently, but Kei is unphased, and once again shouts out that he is not going to die. He first shoots the floor with his X-Gun before attempting to fire on all of the Tanaka Aliens around him, thought he fails to hit any of them as they dodge out of the way. Just as he is about to panic again, however, the time delay on the X-Gun ends and the floor collapses from underneath him, causing him to fall to the first floor, much to the shock of Tetsuo Nemoto and Haruya Numata, who were waiting outside. Kei begins to run out of the building, and the chapter ends with the aliens looking at the now gaping hole that Kei has created in the building.
