Wailing (慟哭, Dōkoku) is the 78th chapter of the Gantz manga, written and illustrated by Hiroya Oku.

Synopsis[]
The chapter begins with Masaru Kato embracing a deceased Kei Kishimoto and crying before Sei Sakuraoka rushes forward in order to assist Kei Kurono, who is attacking the Kannon Alien. Kurono shoots the alien several times in the head with his X-Gun while screaming and Sei keeps the Kannon's guards at bay using her Gantz suit and X-Pistols. The damage delay ends and the Kannon's head explodes as it reaches up and touches Kurono's ankle, his foot pressed against the aliens chest. It then activates some sort of healing device in one of its left arms, completely regenerating its head. Kurono is shocked before cursing, as he looks down and sees that his left foot is missing. He attempts to shoot the alien again but is unable to, as it cuts off his right arm using one of its swords. The chapter ends with Kurono saying Kishimoto's name over and over again while remembering the time she was staying at his apartment.
