True Face (本体, Hontai) is the 87th chapter of the Gantz manga, written and illustrated by Hiroya Oku.

Synopsis

The chapter begins with the Kannon being restrained by Masaru Kato's capture gun, shouting and panicking as a result. Masaru activates the transportation process causing the alien to be teleported away, however, it then disconnects its head from its body before it can be teleported away fully, causing the teleportation process to stop. From the now gaping hole in its neck a new, grotesque creature emerges, having 8 arms and the face of Kiyoshi Miyafuji. Kiyoshi takes the glasses from his original corpse and puts them on before viciously attacking Masaru after the latter vows to capture him and send him away.

The repeated body blows cause Masaru to vomit and bleed before his Gantz Suit malfunctions from the stress, and the chapter ends with Masaru thinking of his little brother, Ayumu Kato, and that he must return home no matter what.
