- Daibutsu (大仏; kyūjitai: 大佛) or 'giant Buddha' is the Japanese term, often used informally, for large statues of Buddha.
- The Daibutsu Alien was likely inspired by the Ushika Daibutsu, the tallest bronze Buddha in the world, and the 5th tallest statue as of 2023.[1] It stands at 120 meters tall in Ushiku, Ibaraki. This is about twice the size of the Statue of Liberty in New York, United States of America.
