Inside the Apartment (アパートの奥, Apāto no Oku) is the 46th chapter of the Gantz manga, written and illustrated by Hiroya Oku.

Synopsis[]
The chapter begins with Ryota Sugihara facing two Tanaka Aliens in a garage, with Kayo Sugihara dying beside him after being attacked by said Tanaka Aliens. Ryota begins crying and hugs his grandmother as the aliens prepare to attack him, at which point Kayo wraps her arms around him in an attempt to shield him from the attack.
The chapter then cuts to Masaru Kato, Kei Kishimoto and Masanobu Hojo, who are about to chase a fleeing Tanaka Alien that has exited its suit, before a second one that was previously on the ground gets up. It attempts to get back inside of its suit but suffocates before it is able to do so. Masaru then realises that the Tanaka Aliens which flew away in the previous chapter were not fleeing, but were hunting down Kayo and Ryota who had gone in the same direction.

After this, the chapter cuts to Kei Kurono being held hostage by Tetsuo Nemoto and Haruya Numata, who are walking him in a seemingly random direction in order to find the Tanaka Aliens. Kurono contemplates escaping from the two by taking their weapons but realises how difficult it will be with Tetsuo still wearing his suit. They then come upon an abandoned building, where Tetsuo and Haruya demand that Kurono searches the house. Kurono does so, albeit reluctantly, but when he exits, the two demand that he checks the top floor also. He does not expect to find any aliens doing so, but after reaching the top floor, he sees several Tanaka Alien infants before other Tanaka Aliens come out from out of the doors in the corridor he resides in. The chapter ends with Kurono looking into the open room directly in front of him, where he sees an incredibly muscular and intimidating bird-like creature sitting down and facing away from him.
